This Week's Message
We had a wonderful music concert on Friday where we had the privilege of hearing our Guitar, Choir, Orchestra, and Band students perform. They did an amazing job and our student audience was wonderful and supportive too!
This week we begin our 8th grade celebration activities with our 8th grade dance on Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. 8th graders and families are reminded that you can see all of our 8th grade celebrations here: 8th Grade Celebrations Flyer 2023
Walton Students Bring Home Global Virtual Classroom Awards
”The Global Virtual Classroom (GVC) is a collection of free, online educational activities and resources. It aims to complement the efforts of governments and educators around the world to integrate technology into their classrooms and curricula and to link their schools to the Internet in educationally productive ways.” Schools work with other schools across the world collaboratively to design a website with information and resources around different topics. This year we partnered with schools in Turkey, Russia, and India to design sites around Environmentalism and Indigenous Tribes. You can view this work here:
GVC Middle School Division (ELA 6)
“Environmentalism”
2nd place

GVC High School Division (Immersion 6/7)
“Indigenous Tribes”
3rd place
Note: the first and second place teams had three schools. Our team only had two schools partnered and the majority of the kids were not high schoolers!
